Much to the dismay of the state’s political community, the Hartford Courant included political reporter Mark Pazniokas in its latest round of layoffs. Well, today the New York Times broke some important Connecticut news — that Ned Lamont is seriously considering a run for Governor – and the byline belonged to none other than Mark Pazniokas. How’s that for a comeback?
The story is online now but will run in the Sunday Connecticut section of the print version. Mark will be writing regularly about politics for The Times. He joins another veteran of the state’s capitol press corps, Greg Hladky, who was foolishly let go by the New Haven Register last year. Advantage: New York Times.
