We don’t know much but we’re told that several employees of CPTV have been laid off. This follows a couple of layoffs yesterday at WNPR -both are subsidiaries of Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network.

Meredith Corporation, which owns WFSB, produces a syndicated lifestyle show “Better” at KPTV in Portland, Oregon. Meredith is moving production operations for its nationally synidcated “Better” to WFSB in Rocky Hill because of the Connecticut station’s proximity to Meredith’s video production studio in New York. From News Blues: “Sources in Columbus, OH, report the ‘mind-altering substance,’ which police say contributed to 18-year-old Bryan Barbin voluntarily stabbing himself in the chest six times, was LSD. Barbin was the son of former Columbus news director Lyn Tolan.” Lyn was news director at WFSB from 2002-2005.
