WFSB has hired a new reporter who started this past weekend. He’s Ray Villeda and comes to the station from WSYR in Syracuse. He’ll be working weekends and three days a week.

The Columbia Journalism Review focuses on the July 2009 South Windsor stand-off involving Richard Shenkman and news coverage of the event in its September/October issue. CJR gave a “Laurel” to WFSB and The Day of New London, and decided not to give a “Dart” to the Hartford Courant. Worth reading.
