Connecticut AP Bureau Spared Major Cuts

The Associated Press is going through layoffs at bureaus nationwide. Here in Connecticut the only casualty is state news editor Patrick Sanders. His position has been eliminated and his Boston counterpart, Karen Testa, will now oversee the Hartford bureau.

J.I. Suing Courant

It’s official… the Journal Inquirer is suing the Hartford Courant for plagiarism. The J.I. is seeking financial damages for news stories that the Courant plagiarized over the summer. The story is Page One in this afternoon’s J.I. It will be interesting to see what kind of placement, if any, the story has in tomorrow’s Courant.
