After we posted news of the Courant’s Dan Uhlinger going to the Connecticut House Dems’ press office, a friend pointed out that Jamison Bazinet, a long-time photographer for the Waterbury Republican-American, turned in his camera to work for the communications office of the CT House Republicans.

Dan Uhlinger, a reporter and editor at the Hartford Courant for 23 years, has moved across the street to the Legislative Office Building and the press office of the House Democrats. Dan will serve as a press secretary to 15 state representatives. While at the Courant he most recently covered towns east of the river.

A friend of The Laurel who works at the Meriden Record-Journal writes about the following changes: Robert Mayer, the managing editor of three Record-Journal weeklies, was laid off in mid-January. He oversaw the Plainville, Southington and Berlin Citizen papers. The Plainville office was closed and the remaining staff was moved to the Southington Citizen’s offices. The Record-Journal [...]
