Bob Conrad, legendary political reporter and columnist for the late Hartford Times, died on Monday at age 91. After the demise of The Times, Bob wrote for the New Britain Herald, and after he retired in 1983 continued to write a political column that appeared in several newspapers.
Please read Jon Lender’s great reflection on Bob’s career.
Bob was a “Bristol Boy”, a member of “The Greatest Generation”, and an extraordinarily nice man who came with none of the arrogance that can occasionally infect successful people. He will be missed by his fellow reporters and all at the state capitol who had the pleasure of knowing him.
