FOXCT v. DirecTV

The grassroots campaign is on…Wednesday’s Hartford Courant included a large wraparound that told DirecTV customers their ability to see programming on Fox and CW (the paper’s sisters stations) could be jeopardized by a breakdown in negotiations over transmission fees. It urged customers to call numbers that transfer them to DirecTV so complaints over losing FOXCT can be registered. There’s also an ad airing on FOXCT that urges viewers to get involved and says “conversations are still going on but a deal is far from made.” The twitosphere is also abuzz:

Rowland’s Afternoon Drive Partner Leaving

Will Marotti, Pastor of New Life Church in Meriden, is leaving WTIC-am and the afternoon drive show that he co-hosts with former Governor John Rowland. His last day is Friday, March 30th. The Hartford Courant’s Susan Campbell spoke with him and has details.
