A week ago, Tribune announced a deal to purchase 19 television stations in 16 markets. This morning Tribune Co. stated it intends to spin off its publishing business into a separate company. The Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times and other Tribune newspapers (including the Hartford Courant) will become part of a new company known as Tribune Publishing Co.
The Chicago Tribune reported all of the details on the separation early this morning.
