Eisner to Tribune Co.?

Mickey and Minnie’s old boss, Michael Eisner, is in talks to become head of the Tribune Co.  According to the LA Times, Tribune’s largest creditors are having preliminary conversations with prospective candidates who could operate Tribune once it emerges from bankruptcy and Eisner is one of the candidates being considered.

Tribune Co. is the owner of the Hartford Courant and FOX CT.

40 Years for Wayne Norman

Today is the 40th anniversary of Wayne Norman’s first day on the air at WILI.  Wayne has the longest continuously running morning show in Connecticut and can also be heard as a color analyst for UConn basketball.

‘Sonia Rocks’

O’Reilly and Beck Head to Connecticut

Guess who is performing at Mohegan Sun in October?  Bon Jovi? Paul McCartney? Rolling Stones?


It’s the two most popular conservative commentators in the country: Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly. Both had stints in Connecticut – Beck as a d.j. at KC101 and O’Reilly as an anchor at WFSB.

Tickets for the October 30th show at Mohegan Sun go on sale Friday (UPDATE: the on-sale date has been moved to Sept. 3) at 10 a.m. for $130, $95, $65 and $50.

Each commentator will take the stage individually during the ‘Bold & Fresh’ Tour before taking the stage together.
