“Welcome to CT Newsmakers, Hosted by…”

Very nice interview in today’s Hartford Courant with retiring NBC Connecticut political reporter Tom Monahan. His departure leaves open the question of who will host Tom’s Sunday morning interview program “CT Newsmakers”. We hear that at least one veteran political reporter is interested and has had conversations on the subject. We sincerely hope that the station won’t cancel the show and go the infomercial route.

Beck Back in Connecticut

Glenn Beck, former KC 101 DJ, will be in Connecticut (aka, ‘rathole’) Saturday, October 30th to sign copies of his new book, BROKE: The Plan to Restore our Trust, Truth and Treasure.

Beck will be at the North Haven Barnes & Noble at 7:30AM and the West Hartford Barnes & Noble (Blue Back Square) at 9:30AM.

TV Station Pulls Political Ad

Read the CT Mirror story about WTIC-TV’s decision to stop airing one of two commercials that the American Action Network has been running against Congressman Chris Murphy. Murphy, a Democrat, is in a close race with  Republican Sam Caligiuri.
In a statement released by FoxCT, the station says that after reviewing documentation provided by American Action Network it “believes the commercial’s claims are unsubstantiated and has removed it from the air.”
We assume the state’s others TV stations are still running the ad?

The ‘M’ in Gov. M. Jodi Rell

For all you political junkies out there… gets to the bottom of what we all have been wondering…. what is Governor Rell’s REAL name?

Boola Boola

Katie Couric was at the Yale Bowl this past Saturday for the football game against Penn.  She’s pictured here with Scott Kurlansky of Market New Haven.
