Another Firing at WTNH

A memo went out to WTNH staff today from the General Manager indicating that Ted Koppy is no longer with the station. A few years back Ted was the 6, 10 and 11 pm co-anchor and was then moved over to general assignment reporting. Now he’s “out”. We’re sorry to hear this.

  1. Wow, they are just getting rid of people left and right. Channel 8 is not what it used to be.

  2. They seem to think they need to clean house for some reason. I was surprised last week when Mr. Fox had added photos to his Facebook page on some of the people he works with that Mr. Koppy made an innocent comment and Mr. Fox came back with a “You should come and stop by for a visit Teddy” comment. I hope that wasn’t misconstrued.

  3. How can they possibly think this is helping the station when all it is really doing is alienating all their viewers. Is Lin trying to run WTNH into the ground?

  4. I honestly don’t know but from friends that watch their news say they never thought Mr. Koppy caught on with viewers. When I saw this I posted a mini survey on my Facebook wall and some said they thought he was too stiff as an anchor and others thought he was too nervous. I never saw any of that but then I’m usually making dinner when it’s on in the early evening and rarely catch the later shows.

  5. WTNH has become a POS organization since Mark Higgins came to town.

I bet if you put up a poll question to fire Mark Higgins I bet 90% would vote yes to do so.

  6. Look what they did tonight friday, may 20. at 11:00. Someone put an outtake on the air and this outtake will make erica grow look like a fool. unbelievable what they did
