Congratulations to Fox61 morning anchor Tim Lammers. He and girlfriend Kerri got married this past weekend.
Last week we told you about the Noah Finz/Frontier all-Connecticut sports channel. Here’s more: sportscaster Marc Robbins – most recently of WFSB and formerly of News12 and WTNH – will be working alongside Noah. Marc will, among other duties, co-anchor the nightly program.
Starting next week a new website launches designed to provide coverage of the news media in the style of the former American Journalism Review.
MediaFile will be run under the auspices of George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and be run by a senior journalism major. The site’s goal is to report on journalism and offer criticism.
The network anchor whose spectacles were a much imitated signature look has tossed those eyeglasses to the side.
Ashleigh Banfield of CNN recently had refractive lens exchange surgery making her square framed glasses, that were so perfectly matched with her facial features, superfluous (Definition: unnecessary).

BTW – Banfield is about to leave CNN for HLN where she will be taking over the 8p.m. slot from Nancy Grace. Banfield’s 12p.m. CNN slot will be turned into a weekday edition of Inside Politics hosted by John King.
WDBJ in Roanoke held a moment of silence Friday morning for reporter Alison Parker and videographer Adam Ward. The two were shot to death by a former colleague during a morning live shot one year ago.
Their attacker killed himself later in the day as police closed in on him.
