Now That the Grammys Are Over…

…it’s on to the Oscars. Connecticut is blessed with (at least) two great events that celebrate Hollywood’s big night.  And for members of the news media, the telecasts and celebrations take place on Sunday evenings when most are not on duty.
A 4-time Oscar winner is a native daughter of the state so why not watch the show at her theater?

Huskies on HBO

In two weeks, the 2016-17 women’s basketball team at UConn will be the subject of a multi-part series on HBO.

The real time documentary will follow the Huskies in the pursuit of a fifth national championship.

Malcolm Johnson, 79

Malcolm Johnson, a long-time reporter and editor with the Hartford Courant is dead at the age of 79.

He spent his entire career as a journalist at the Courant, completing his time there as a film and theater critic. Social media was filled this weekend with remembrances from former colleagues once the news broke.
