Two of the people with the longest last names in news and politics sparred Monday morning on ABC’s Good Morning America over President Donald Trump’s explosive allegations – made via Twitter – against former President Barack Obama.
Anchor George Stephanopoulos challenged White House Deputy Press Secretary Sara Huckabee Sanders on the truthfulness of Trump’s charges and the talking points Trump staffers are using to try to explain it all away.
It should be noted that Mrs. Huckabee Sanders, in trying to spin her way out of the communications debacle created by the president, was taking on an anchor with considerably more campaign and White House experience than most people on the Trump staff. Stephanopoulos was a key communications aide to President Bill Clinton. He eventually broke with Clinton over the deceptions that occurred during that administration and chronicled his experiences in a book titled “All Too Human.”
BTW – Huckabee Sanders is the daughter of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.
