In a deal that rivals the size of Connecticut’s budget shortfall, Sinclair Braodcast Group has agreed to purchase Tribune Media – the owner of Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut.
The deal is worth $3.9 billion and would secure Sinclair’s place as the largest TV station ownership group in the country. Sinclair is also known for its politically conservative programming.
