One of The Laurel’s favorite programs is “The Wheelhouse”, the weekly news round-up hosted by WNPR’s John Dankosky on Wednesday mornings.
From today’s broadcast we learned two things:
1) Alison Leigh Cowan, former reporter and editor at the New York Times who frequently covered Connecticut, is now reporting for the New Haven Independent
2) On tomorrow’s program, the Hartford Courant’s new paywall will be discussed along with other “state of journalism” topics. Guests will include Andrew Julien and Christine Taylor of the Hartford Courant and Matt DeRienzo, journalist and former group editor of Digital First Media.
