It is not every day we get to use the word anachronism on The Laurel so we take this opportunity to do so.
Writing in New York Magazine, Frank Rich asks the question many have asked over the years: Is the role of evening news anchorman obsolete?
Many of the points Rich makes in his article are unfairly pinned on small moments in long careers, or in the early days of television, when they were making up the rules as they went along. Still, he makes some strong points most Laurelers might enjoy pondering.
