Lucchino's Legacy

Laurel founder Duby McDowell had an interesting story in the opinion section of this weekend’s Hartford Courant.

Those who know Duby know one of her prime curiosities is understanding the life long connections between different people. She was a student of the “six degrees of separation” long before it became an over-used phrase.

So it is no surprise that her look into the legacy of Red Sox President and CEO Larry Lucchino begins in her fifth grade class. I didn’t know about that connection, and as only a casual baseball fan, didn’t know about the bunch of other accomplishments in Lucchino’s career – until reading Duby’s article.

Thank you for the insight, Duby.
