The old media world acknowledged the new this weekend as the Hartford Courant noted the success of Tom Dudchik’s Capitol Report.
Started by Dudchik in 2010, the news aggregation website is now five years old and has had more than 43 million visitors.
Dudchik, a former member of the Weicker administration and former state representative, began the website taking obvious styling and strategy cues from the Drudge Report. It is the easiest way to keep track of what’s happening in state government and politics. At The Laurel, we check in two, three, four times a day – contributing our fair share of clicks.
Congratulations Tom.
“There was a time when a headline in a daily paper was the Holy Grail for people in the communications system, but now getting your client a mention in Capitol Report is also just as important, if not more so,” said Duby McDowell, a former political reporter who works as a communications consultant.
