The big local sports story of the week is the final home stand for the New Britain Rock Cats.
As you know the team is moving to Hartford and changing its name to the Hartford Yard Goats next season. The last seven home games are being played against Bowie and Portland and the final home game is scheduled for this coming Sunday.
Despite the loss for New Britain the team’s owners are already promoting the Yard Goats’ opening season with a free magnet schedule give-away at Saturday’s game!
