…if you are an NPR listener from way back you may be hearing a long lost familiar voice on the radio(or on PBS) over the next couple of days.
Elizabeth Arnold was a Washington based correspondent for NPR from 1991 to 2006 and one of the network’s primary voices. Then she decided to trade it all in to return to her native Alaska where she still works as a journalist producing radio stories for various outlets.
With President Obama spending three days in Alaska this week NPR is turning to Arnold for her expertise on the subject.
Connecticut reporters may have run into Arnold while covering the New Hampshire and Connecticut presidential primaries.
We are always impressed with people who achieve success in conventional terms and then walk away from it to pursue something that seems more important to them.
