If you’re thinking about a versatile, inexpensive workhorse dress, our friends at News Blues stumbled upon this dress, which appears to be showing up in markets nationwide.

News Blues reports:

It comes in seven color combinations and, for reasons of simplicity and price, has become a mega-hit with cash-strapped local television types. It is favored by shapely young (mostly blonde) weather or traffic reporters in small-to-mid-sized television markets. This is not the dress for veteran news anchors with clothing allowances.

“Someone stumbled onto ‘the dress’ and a few of us ordered it and shared pics of it on air in our group,” said Shelby Hays, a weekend morning weather guesser at KOCO-5-ABC in OK City (Market #43). “Everyone saw how great it looked. At $23 we could buy a handful of these dresses for what we normally pay for just one.”
