Two days after it was revealed that Larry Kudlow will not run for the U.S. Senate against Richard Blumenthal(D) comes news that Kudlow has signed a new three year contract with CNBC.
The deal includes a continuation of his radio show and a guaranteed time slot at midday on the television network.
Skeptics will speculate that the timing suggests Kudlow was using a possible Senate race as leverage in contract talks, but that doesn’t ring true here. Kudlow’s own highly personal explanation to the New York Post suggest he is someone who is very in touch with his own strengths and weaknesses and came to the decision after being honest with himself about his chances and the personal risks involved.
