As a reflection of how many hours each day that Mike Allen is awake and working Politico has announced three people will take over for him as author of Politico’s(D.C.) Playbook.
The transition from Allen to three younger members of the Politico staff begins next month. Allen, a former New York Times reporter who was stationed at the Connecticut capitol, is one of the founding members of Politico. He is planning to leave the website/Capitol Hill newspaper after the election to help start a new venture.
Allen’s Playbook is now a key piece of the Politico product suite as it expands across the country and into Europe.
