New reports from the Wall St. Journal and other sources say Gannett has improved its offer to buy tronc, the company formerly known as Tribune Publishing which happens to own the Hartford Courant.
Tribune/tronc rejected an $864 million offer from Gannett earlier this year. Details of the new offer are not known.
