Perhaps.
Less than a month after reports surfaced suggesting Scott Pelley might step down as anchor of the CBS Evening News, Pelley has listed his Connecticut home for sale.
The house, reportedly known inside CBS News as “the Darien bureau,” is listed at $3.9 million. As it is currently configured it includes a studio that allows Pelley to track stories for 60 Minutes.
The rumors about his departure suggested Pelley prefers his 60 Minutes job over the CBS Evening News. He has been quoted in the past as saying the editorial decision making that goes into the evening news is more important than presenting the broadcast. CBS News denied plans to move Pelley when the story was first reported by the New York Post.
