Former Connecticut Governor and U.S. Senator Lowell Weicker was in Washington, D.C. over the weekend to mark the 45th anniversary of the Watergate burglary.
Weicker’s time on the special Watergate investigative committee that looked into the scandal thrust him onto the national stage in the early to mid-’70’s. Reporters covering the reunion were looking for parallels to Washington, D.C. under President Trump, but Weicker and others said, we’re not there yet.
