The program just won this year’s Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast. The show is co-anchored by former WFSB veteran Gayle King.
Sentinel TV critic Hal Boedeker says the show succeeds largely because it delivers news while its competitors deliver entertainment.
CBS News won this year’s Murrow award for “overall excellence.”
