A Tribune Media shareholder has filed suit in an attempt to block the sale of the company to Sinclair Broadcast Group.
The multi-billion merger, which would include Tribune owned Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut, is proceeding through the approval process. Concerns over the deal have also been raised on Capitol Hill primarily because Sinclair has a reputation for using its stations to promote a conservative political agenda.
