A coalition of groups is pledging to work together to oppose the plan by Sinclair Broadcast Group to purchase Tribune Media, owner of Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut, for $3.9 billion.
Opponents are concerned the new station group would be too big. Others are concerned about Sinclair’s use of local news broadcasts to promote a conservative political agenda.
