Popular Fox 61 feature reporter Sarah Cody is moving to News 8.
Cody joins WTNH, after more than 10 years in Hartford. She will be a “reporter and fill-in host,” according to her Twitter profile. While this is a big move for a well-established local TV personality, the real story(no pun intended), may be the work of WTNH general manager Rich Graziano.
Since becoming GM at the beginning of the year, Graziano has moved to re-assemble some of the shows and talent he has worked with in the past, including; forecaster Joe Furey, a brief return to the station by Geoff Fox, the return of CTCapitolReport on Sunday mornings, the expansion of the morning news block by one hour, and now the Cody move.
No other Connecticut television GM has put such a public mark on programming in recent years in the Hartford/New Haven market. Graziano’s decisions show a general manager who puts a premium on local programming and personalities.
