The deal by Sinclair Broadcast Group to buy Tribune Media is nearing final approval.
The U.S. Justice Department has signaled it will approve the purchase if Sinclair sells about a dozen of its stations in over lapping markets. Broadcasters in Connecticut are watching the deal closely. Tribune owns Fox 61 and WCCT.
