Craig Newmark, the founder of Craigslist, is donating $20 million to the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
Some see this as ironic, because Craigslist helped put many newspapers out of business, and severely reduced revenues for others, by making classified advertising obsolete. The donation is reported in the New York Times.
