Hartford Courant Columnist Kevin Rennie is battling the State Police as he fights to uphold one of the most sacred of journalistic standards: never reveal your sources. Rennie’s May 14th Daily Ructions blog post on the suspension of a State Police Lieutenant has sparked an internal affairs investigation related to information Rennie used in his post. A State Police investigator has asked Rennie to reveal the source of the information, but Rennie is refusing. Kudos to him for sticking to his guns.
