The past week has seen several changes to the Connecticut TV news landscape:
First and foremost, we wish a speedy recovery to Fox61 Meteorologist Rachel Frank, who announced this week that she will be taking a couple weeks’ leave for surgery.
WTNH News8 said goodbye to 6:oo p.m. co-anchor, Scott McDonnell, who left for WFXT in Boston. McDonnell has anchored the 6:00 p.m. newscast alongside Ann Nyberg since January 2016.
News8 is also losing news reporter Mario Boone this month. Mario has been with WTNH since July 2017.
Two former NBC30 reporters have landed new gigs:
Sujata (Jain) Wycoff is the new Waterbury School District’s Director of Communications and Justin Schecker has been spotted doing reporting for News12.
