Connecticut Mirror is one of 11 nonprofit newsrooms to receive an American Journalism Project grant to strengthen revenue generation capacity and build sustainable news organizations. The Mirror will receive $830,000 over three years.  According to a press release, the funding is expected to support three new full-time positions at CT Mirror (a leadership gifts officer, a manager of membership and audience development, and an administrative assistant / events coordinator) and two part-time positions (a grants manager and an earned revenue consultant).

Publisher and CEO Bruce Putterman describes the grant as “transformative.”
