Congratulations to WNPR’s Vanessa de la Torre who has been named the next executive editor of the New England News Collaborative. She starts in that role on January 6, succeeding John Dankosky.
Vanessa has been at WNPR since 2017, when she left the Hartford Courant after ten years as a reporter.
Recently Vanessa was supervising producer of CT Public’s 30-minute documentary “Collision Course.”
She grew up near the U.S.-Mexico border in California and has lived in New England since 2006. She’s a graduate of Princeton University and Stanford’s graduate program in Journalism.
