Education reporter Kathy Megan’s last day at CT Mirror was Friday, January 10. She covered PK–12 education, higher education and child welfare issues for the news outlet.
Megan, a former Hartford Courant reporter for more than 30 years, was filling in for education and children’s issues reporter Jacqueline Rabe Thomas who has been working on Propublica stories for the past year.
Megan stayed for a little past the one year mark to complete a couple stories, according to editor Elizabeth Hamilton. As Megan wrote on Facebook, “Not ready to say goodbye to journalism! Anyone need a reporter?”
