The Future of Journalism in the Digital Age

Selena Roberts, executive editor of The Tylt, will discuss social media strategies for digital journalism and storytelling with polling data on Thursday, February 13.

The talk will include topics such as The Tylt’s writing process; the role of data insights in the platform’s story direction and reporting on Gen Z and millennials; and what the future holds for journalism in the digital age.

From 1996-2012, Roberts was a best-selling author and award-winning journalist at The New York Times and Sports Illustrated. Her books include “A-Rod: The Many Lives of Alex Rodriguez” and “A Necessary Spectacle: Billie Jean King, Bobby Riggs and the Tennis Match that Leveled the Game.”

The event takes place at 2 pm on the 13th and is free and open to the public. Location is the Mount Carmel Auditorium in Quinnipiac University‘s Center for Communications and Engineering, 275 Mount Carmel Ave. Hamden, CT.
