Former Fox CT anchor Alison Morris, now at MSNBC and NBC News Now, is being accused of using a racial slur on air Sunday.
Morris, who was named one of Hartford Business Journal’s “40 under Forty” in 2014, apologized in a tweet yesterday, writing that she inadvertently combined the names of two basketball teams while speaking about Kobe Bryant. Here’s Morris’ apology:
The Los Angeles Lakers is the only team Bryant called home for his entire illustrious 20-season career.
Many were incensed as the video clip of the gaffe circulated online. There is currently a change.org petition for the termination of Morris’ position, which has collected over 24,000 signatures.
