Hats off to all of the Connecticut news publications that received awards Saturday evening in Boston!
The Hartford Courant, The Day, Republican-American and The CT Mirror, among others, received honors and awards at the New England Newspaper & Press Association’s New England Better Newspaper Competition.
Christopher Peak of the New Haven Independent received three awards in the business reporting, government reporting and best solutions journalism project categories.
Bill Shettle of the Republican-American took home six awards in the portrait photo, sports photo, news feature photo, feature photo and general news photo categories.
