It’s been just about a month since Peter Marteka announced his departure from the Hartford Courant.
Today Marteka informed the public that he will continue his popular nature writing through the membership platform Patreon.
“After receiving hundreds of emails/social media posts urging me to continue my work in Connecticut’s outdoors, I’m pleased to report I’ve settled on a platform – @Patreon It will allow me to continue to explore and write about places across CT,” Marteka said in a tweet.
The former Courant journalist of 25 years added that his page “will have several subscription tiers allowing visitors to continue to read about special places, get hike recommendations and access to posts about ‘secret’ and little-known places as well as top places to hike from waterfalls to views to abandoned Connecticut.”
The page is set to be active on Sunday, according to Marteka’s announcement.
