Quinnipiac University has announced a new podcasting program and it will be headed by David DesRoches, formerly of WNPR and the Darien Times.
DesRoches will host a weekly podcast which is slated to go live this Wednesday. The podcasts will be available on all podcasting platforms, according to DesRoches.
The Laurel reached out to DesRoches and this is what he had to say about the new venture:
I’m really excited about this opportunity. You’ll see several podcasts rolling out in the coming weeks…The Quinnipiac University Poll is doing a podcast, as is the medical school, and a few others are in various stages of development.
The bar has been set high for the podcast program. Before I arrived, journalism Professor Ben Bogardus produced a podcast called Hunger in Hamden, which was recently given the “Award of Excellence” in the BEA’s Festival of Media Arts.
