Here are the major news updates from today:
- President Trump announced this afternoon that the CDC’s social distancing guidelines will stay in place through April 30.
- Last night, following President Trump’s comments that he was “giving consideration to a quarantine” in NY, NJ and CT, the CDC released a domestic travel advisory for the three states.
- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved Governor Lamont’s request for a major disaster declaration. CT Mirror has more.
- Businesses and nonprofits considered essential during this time have been enumerated by the DECD here.
- Gov. Lamont has asked the private sector to help supply the state with personal protective equipment (PPE). The state’s request for PPE can be found here.
- Access Health CT added a special enrollment period for those uninsured that began March 19 and continues until April 2. Coverage begins April 1.
