The Bulletin, owned by Gannett, will lose its executive editor of 13 years Jim Konrad. His aggregate time at the paper is about 27 years. Konrad’s last day is May 1.
Before becoming executive editor of The Bulletin, Konrad was a sports writer and columnist for the paper for 14 years. He also wrote for the Hartford Courant in the 80s and was news editor at the Poughkeepsie Journal in the early 2000s.
Konrad told The Laurel that his position is Gannett’s only layoff at The Bulletin at this time.
