Merdien Record-Journal reporter Amanda Falcone is leaving after 4 years to join the Hartford Courant (newsflash: the Courant is hiring?). Amanda started at the R-J in 2005 after graduating from UConn and began her tenure as an education reporter. Since then, she’s also covered the city of Meriden, the state legislature and has served as a general assignment reporter. She’s likely to be covering some towns for the Courant and her first day there is October 12th.
