The Hartford Courant is losing another valued member of its newsroom staff: journalist Kathleen McWilliams announced that she will be leaving the Hartford Courant later this week. However, the Courant’s loss will be a great gain for Attorney General William Tong’s office. McWilliams will be joining Communications Director, Elizabeth Benton, in the Attorney General’s press office.
Since December 2015, McWilliams has covered several high profile new stories for the Courant, including Zika Virus, immigration and crumbling foundations. Her thorough and thoughtful reporting will be a great benefit to Attorney General Tong, who has established himself as one of the country’s more active Attorneys General.
Congratulations to Kathleen…and to the Attorney General!
