WTIC-AM morning news anchor Angela Dias has announced she’s retiring after 35 years. From Matt Buckler’s story:
She said the drive in every morning from Colchester (at 3 am) could be a rough one. “I had to drive in all sorts of weather just to tell people to stay home,” Dias. said. Dias was hired at WTIC in 1985 by the legendary news director, Walt Dibble. Dana Whalen was the assistant news director.
Angela has been a fixture for many Hartford-area listeners and she will be missed greatly. Enjoy retirement, Angela – you deserve it!
