Back to the Future with CT ’21

We were slightly off when we posted yesterday that Eric Parker will host “Face the State” on WFSB. The program, which airs Sundays at 8:30am, has been re-named “CT ’21.”

The broadcast was called “Face the State” in the…60s & 70s? At some point the show went away completely. In 1993, then-General Manager Chris Rohrs revived the idea of a Sunday public affairs program and named it “CT ’93” (see collector’s item mug below). Yes, with each passing year the graphics had to be redone.

This blogger was the moderator. investigative reporter Jeff Cole eventually joined. We both left the station in 2000 and Al Terzi took over. The bulky “CT 2000” was scrapped and the title “Face the State” restored.

So 20 years later, the name “Face the State” is being mothballed, but we suspect that someday….when The Great Pandemic is just a distant memory… “Face the State” will return yet again.
