Are newsrooms a thing of the past? Do mobile units have to be units? Does a camera have to be a camera?
These are some of the questions wrapped up in and extending from a column from Poynter on whether newsrooms are necessary anymore. I know many journalists who would argue the answer is “yes” because there is a unique energy derived from people working in a collaborative setting in a daily race against the clock.
